The Lochluichart Community Trust (LCT) was established in 2014 as a not for profit community company to administer the community benefit fund, provided by Eneco, associated with the Lochluichart Wind Farm. The current annual fund received is £176,802 per year, based on £2,750 per megawatt of installed capacity, including the recent extension to the windfarm. In September 2017, a further annual fund was received from Green Higland Renewables (Ledgowan) Ltd for the Ledgowan hydro scheme.  The fund from both providers is distributed to projects and initiatives within the Garve and District Community Council area, with particular emphasis on local regeneration and community development. In future, other renewable energy operators may choose to channel available funding through a partnership with the LCT.

The fund opened for applications for the first time in Summer 2014 and a wide variety of projects have been supported, details of which are on the “Previous applications” page. If you wish to apply for a grant the details and application forms can be found on the “Application Information and Forms” page.
