Thursday 31st March saw the launch, in Contin, of a new parent and toddler group. Started with the help of local ladies Melissa MacLennan, Beth King, Carla Zebrowski and Laura Crombie, and the support of the community at large.
With 22 kids and 16 adults turning up on the first day, it looks like the new group has filled a void.
The toddler group has been very lucky to receive donations of toys and equipment from local people, as well as funds through Contin Community Council, so we are able to offer toddlers an exciting and interactive place to visit every week.
Contin Toddler group not only aims to provide toys and games to play, but also crafts, stories and song time. The group will run every Thursday 9.30am to 11.15am (including school holidays where possible).
Contin Toddler Group are registered with Care and Learning Alliance (CALA) - Childcare and Learning Support.
As we raise funds we will look at holding weekend and school holiday activities, and we've already organised an Easter fun day, to be held on Saturday 23rd April.
